Some earlier images were digiscoped using a Swarovski scope and a Canon S80 compact camera. Whilst this produced good results, to get high quality images, especially fast flying birds, there is no substitute for a digital SLR and good quality lens. Some of the later images are taken with a Canon 1D Mk3 and Canon 300mm f2.8 L, 400mm L f5.6 and 600mm f4 L lens.
